Bring the garden indoors with lush nature-inspired collages that invite conversation and provide endless inspiration.
Hello!
I’m Laura
I create intricate collages full of texture and joy for creative women like you. I create out of The Garden Studio in beautiful Creston Valley, BC.
Step inside and you’re likely to find me singing and dancing while painting. When it’s time to shift gears to calm creative mode, my Yorkshire terrier (aka studio assistant), Gabby, finds her perfect spot by my feet.
I’ve been an artist for about as long as House Hunters has been on the air (20-ish years!). I’ve worked in watercolours for the majority of that time but have recently found my calling making mixed media collages. I live surrounded by nature and nearby Kootenay Lake where my husband, Gabby, and I often escape, to enjoy boating, beachcombing and soaking up the sun along it’s beautiful shoreline.

I plant seeds of beauty and happiness into every painting.
My intention is for my artwork to become a place where you and your loved ones gather ‘round for inspiration and conversation.
I want my paintings to catch your eye and reaffirm the beauty that surrounds you, inviting you for a brisk morning walk in the countryside or a stroll along a garden path filled with the scent of flowers and the chatter of birdsong.
I pour myself into each piece
planting moments of joy for the viewer to discover between each intricate layer.
From the moment you unwrap your treasure, you’ll delight in the thoughtfulness that was put into packaging it.
I want my paintings to pull at your heartstrings and weave themselves into your richly textured life becoming a part of your tapestry.

The Inspiration
My inspiration comes from the daily walks in the nearby countryside and the many hours spent working in my own yard, developing a lush landscape that invites in a host of feathered friends, and insects such as butterflies and dragonflies.
